Love

                     

As humans, we have a holier than thou attitude, that's why we have issues forgiving people for things done to us and against us.

We see ourselves as perfect and not able to commit a sin. And when we do sin, which we would always do, we excuse ourselves by giving an explanation as to why we did it or why we may have done it.

We do not in anyway have peace at the back of our minds that's why we always choose to fight.

That's why we relegate our unique and awesome human nature to the back and bring up the opposite, every time.

This happens because we have refused to understand Love for what it truly is.

We think love is that tingly feeling we feel when we are attracted to someone of the opposite sex.

We think love is the butterfly that flies about in our stomach when the object of our fancy is around us.

No wonder we fail at loving even ourselves.

If we don't love ourselves, how are we going to care for ourselves.

If we don't care for ourselves, how are we ever going to love another unselfishly, purely and platonically.

And if we do not love another in a platonic and agape way, how are we going to care for me.

We always say "LOVE IS OVERRATED".

No! Love is not overrated, we have just underrated ourselves to being salvages.

When I see someone saying love is overrated, I see someone with a messed up past, someone who has had an ugly experience with yet another human and in stead of saying it is the human or us that messed up, we so what we do best - apportion or shift blames, and this time, an inanimate object suffers the burn of our fury.

If love is wicked and overrated as we so claim, is money wicked and overrated too?

I believe we all should get back to the basics to learn about how to TRULY LOVE A HUMAN - just because they are human and not because we want to gain something from them.
